"When I started looking at Lulu I said to myself, basically what is fascinating about this "madness" theater is that the character of Lulu embodies each man a different identity, a different picture. I saw how most men fantasies projected on her on her body. But every time I started to think on how to stage the play "monster" Wedekind, I stumbled on the same questions: Who is Lulu? What should it look like? Who can be a woman upon whom all men project? My idea somewhat abstract encountered the idea of a concrete complexion. " Stéphane Braunschweig

"
I have to give life to my dreams if I they do not want to make me a sadistic criminal! "
In a world where eroticism seems to have become law, no man can resist Lulu, even if death is the end of the enjoyment. In 1892, Wedekind undertook this "drama for playing" too outrageous to be played ... but took the stage almost immediately. Lulu does not let her go and its author: Wedekind's reworked for twenty years, as if time itself gave birth to him through this legendary heroine. More than a sum, the work is the crucible of a huge bubbling impulsive and dramatic, violently contrasting colors: a promise of happiness, eros enchanting ends up turning to trash
... Crossing fantastic, submerged fantasy, history Lulu leaves gradually deaf hear overtones of pain and anguish. But the accent was so grotesque that Wedekind resonate until last gasp of the tragic story ... These are incredible theatrical spasms, the vitality of this writing, his fighting strength which Stephane Braunschweig wants to feed his staging of "monster tragedy".
